Construction crews will continue utility upgrades in the Tunasa Drive and Park Drive area this week as work progresses on community infrastructure improvements.
This week's work includes:
- Continuing road excavation on Tunasa Drive, from Simon Fraser Avenue.
- Placing road aggregates on Tunasa Drive, from Carrier Crescent to Simon Fraser Avenue.
- Culvert installation along Park Drive, with single lane alternating traffic control in place.
- Camera inspection of underground storm and sewer pipes.
Crews will be going door to door to speak with residents who are directly affected about parking and access.
Heads up — once a driveway is dug out, it may take a day or two before a temporary driveway is placed.
The new road surface will still sit lower than the finished road, so structures such as manholes, catch basins, and water main valves may stick out of the ground. These will be marked with delineators — please avoid these structures.
There are drop-offs on either side of the road. Pedestrians are asked to stick to one side of the road while crews are on site for the safest path through the area.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as these upgrades move forward and help improve infrastructure within the community.
🗑️ Garbage collection will continue as normal.
