Council meetings in the Village of Fraser Lake are held regularly to ensure transparency and public engagement. As required by Section 127 of the Community Charter, the schedule of Regular Council Meetings is published before the start of each year. Under Council Procedure Bylaw No. 784, 2017, meetings are typically held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 5:30 p.m., with only one meeting scheduled in July, August, and December unless otherwise adjusted.
The annual calendar is developed with consideration for Village bylaws and major municipal, provincial, and federal events to avoid scheduling conflicts. During election years, such as 2026, meetings may be rescheduled to accommodate campaign periods and legislative requirements. Special Council Meetings and Committee of the Whole sessions may also be called as needed.
