Drinking Water & Construction Update

Residents may notice some cloudy water while we complete the tie-in of the new watermain. Please be assured this cloudiness is only air in the system and is not harmful. The water remains safe to drink.

  • All required testing has been completed
  • Results have been reviewed and approved
The air in the lines will gradually clear as the system fully equalizes. We appreciate your patience as this work is finalized.

Construction Update

As part of the Fraser Lake Reservoir Fill Line, Utilities and Road Upgrades project, Dawson Civil is continuing to install water service connections along Carrier Crescent and Tunasa Crescent.

This week, crews will be installing water service connections to houses along Carrier Crescent and Tunasa Crescent. During water service connections, residents will have short water disruptions during the connection, which we will communicate by knocking on doors and giving 30-minute warnings.

Please note:

  • BACK TO SCHOOL – Please advise your children to stay away from construction equipment on their way to and from school
  • Access to driveways will be temporarily restricted.
  • The road behind Mouse Mountain Elementary School is being used as a haul route for material. Please avoid this area during work hours Monday to Saturday 7am-5pm.
  • Please avoid touching any valves or pressure test trees as they can be harmful when played with.

Road Conditions

We understand the road conditions have been challenging. Our crews are doing their best to maintain safe and drivable access for residents throughout the construction period. However, due to fluctuating weather conditions—particularly rain—there may be times when surfaces are rough or muddy. Please drive slowly and carefully through the area, and we thank you for bearing with us as we work to improve the long-term infrastructure.

Winter Road Preparations

Please note that the road construction will not be fully completed this season. With colder weather approaching, we have received questions and concerns about how the roads will be left for winter. Our plan is to leave the roadway in a stable, graded, and passable condition until full paving and completion resume in the spring. We will ensure any exposed or soft areas are properly addressed to support winter maintenance such as snow clearing and sanding.
For questions or concerns, please contact our Community Liaison Nichole at 778-694-2117.
Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation as we complete this important infrastructure upgrade.
