This notice is the second of two notices to advise residents in the Village of Fraser Lake of Bylaw 872, Permissive Tax Exemptions 2025.

Please be advised the Council of the Village of Fraser Lake will be considering adoption of Bylaw 872, Permissive Tax Exemptions 2025 at the Regular Meeting of Council on Wednesday September 3rd at 5:30 pm in the Municipal Council Chambers at 210 Carrier Crescent. 

Copies of the proposed bylaw are available for review at the Fraser Lake Municipal Office located at 210 Carrier Cres. from Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:00. 

Bylaw 872 proposes exemptions for the 2026 taxation year only for the properties listed in TABLE 1 and are authorized by the following sections of the Community Charter:

220(1)(h) permits Council, by bylaw, to exempt a building set apart for public worship.  Section 224(2)(f) permits Council by bylaw to grant further tax exemptions to the area of land surrounding the exempt building set aside for public worship.  Section 225(2)(a) permits Council by bylaw, to exempt from taxation land or improvements a property that is owned by a person or public authority providing a municipal service under a partnering agreement.
