STREET SWEEPING WILL BE STARTING SOON

Our Public Works crew will start street sweeping April 20th. Please do not park on the street between 7:30 am to 4:00 pm on weekdays. Yes, you can sweep the gravel from your yard onto the street but only if the street sweeper hasn’t done your street. The street sweeper will only sweep your street once because it adds a considerable amount of time and expense to do the same job twice. If you do sweep your gravel onto the street, please do not pile the gravel just leave it in a line as the equipment is unable to effectively collect large piles. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and will help ensure a smooth and effective cleanup process.

2025 LGCAP Survey

All local governments in B.C. receive funding from the Province through the Local Government Climate Action Plan. To date, Fraser Lake has completed the following projects in whole or in part with these funds:

Installation of new bike racks at Municipal Hall and Library (new racks coming soon to the arena!)
Hydrogen-fuel injectors in the garbage truck to reduce diesel use
Planting 100 trees in 2025 (50 more coming in 2026)
Subsidizing the countertop composter program
Heat pumps installed in municipal buildings to reduce heating and cooling costs
